Certified Network Cable Installer

The certification, which is supported by the Industry, End Users and the Government Department for Business Innovation & Skills (BIS), is fully embraced and approved by these major sector organisations, who are specifying it as the ‘must-have’ official certification for their teams. Having this accolade from the sector itself confirms that this is making a huge difference to the sector now and in the future.
The certification is the Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®) program. It’s a ten day program that is dedicated to providing cable installers with everything they need to confidently and accurately prepare, install, test and certify copper and fibre cabling systems, specifically for those wishing to demonstrate the highest levels of knowledge, skills and expertise in network infrastructure.

Wan Router Definition

Definition of wide area network (WAN)

Wide area network (WAN) is a type of network that provides transmission of voice, data, images, and videos over the large geographical area. WAN is made with the combinations of LAN and MAN. The transmission of data is carried out with the help of hubs, switches, fiber optics, modem, and routers. To transfer data from any computer over the internet we use some technologies including:
  1. ISDN (Integrated service digital network)
  2. SMDS (Switched multimegabit data server)
  3. SONET (Synchronous optical network)
  4. HDLC (High data link control)
  5. SDLC (Synchronous data link control)
  6. Frame relay

Advantages of a wide area network (WAN)
Covers large geographical area:
  1. Wan covers a large geographical area of 1000 km or more If your office is in different cities or countries then you can connect your office branches through wan. ISP (Internet service provider) can give you leased lines by which you can connect different branch offices together.

Centralized data:
Your company doesn’t need to buy email, files, and backup servers, they can all reside on head office. All office branches can share the data through the head office server. You can get back up, support, and other useful data from the head office and all data are synchronized with all other office branches.
Get updated files and data:
Software companies work over the live server to exchange updated files. So all the coders and office staff get updated version of files within seconds.

Wireless communication

The  wireless communication
The  wireless communication  or wireless is one in which the  communication ( transmitter / receiver ) is not attached by a propagation medium physical, but the used modulation of electromagnetic waves through space. In this sense, physical devices are only present in the transmitters and receivers of the signal, among which we find: antennas , laptops , PDAs , mobile phones , etc.
Wireless network
The term  wireless network  (in English: wireless network) is used in computer science to designate the connection of nodes that occurs through electromagnetic waves, without the need for a   wired or wired network . Transmission and reception are done through ports
History of the Wireless Network
Wireless communication, which is carried out through radio frequency waves  , facilitates operation in places where the computer is not in a fixed location (warehouses, multi-storey offices, etc.) is currently used in a general and accessible way to all public. It should also be mentioned that wired networks have an advantage in terms of data transmission over wireless networks.

What exactly does WLAN mean?

Wireless Local Area Network, Wireless LAN or WLAN is the English term for designating a wireless local area network . These types of networks are used, mainly, when the wiring of the network devices is not possible, it is very difficult to perform or is associated with a high effort, but also for pure comfort. It is particularly extended in the private space , where it represents an excellent solution so that there is Internet in all the rooms of a house without the need to connect cables. Wireless networks are also very useful in offices, especially when you have to connect a large number of devices such as laptops, smartphones or tablets.
There are three different ways to operate a wireless network:
  • Infrastructure mode : the structure in this way is similar to that of a mobile network. A wireless access point (Wireless Access Point) is responsible for coordinating all network participants and sends small data packets with information about the network name, the transmission rates supported or the type of encryption. The wireless access point is often a router.
  • Wireless Distribution System: Because Ethernet and WLAN use the same addressing mode, it is possible to connect to wired networks (or other wireless networks) without complications through the wireless access point. In this way, you can link these networks and increase, for example, their reach. This is why we talk about a Wireless Distribution System (in Spanish, a wireless distribution system).

What Is Wireless Lan

What does WiMAX Internet mean? A look at global interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX).
WiMAX known in English for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, is a coalition of the wireless industry dedicated to advancing IEEE 802.16 standards for wireless broadband access networks (BWA).
Global interoperability for microwave access is a technology standard for long-range wireless networks for both mobile and fixed connections.
While WiMAX once imagined itself as a leading form of Internet communication as an alternative to cable and DSL, its adoption has been limited.
Mainly due to its much higher cost, Wireless LAN and WiMAX is not a replacement for WiFi or wireless access point technologies. However, it may be cheaper to implement WiMAX instead of standard wired hardware as with DSL.

WHAT IS WIMAX?

WiMAX equipment comes in two basic forms: base stations, installed by service providers to implement the technology in a coverage area; and receivers, installed on clients.
